HQ: San Francisco, CA NOW PLAYING: Assorted demos THE STORY SO FAR: Like a couple who met on the internet, former Strata frontman Eric Victorino and beatsmith Nozebleed stood "giggling like girls and hugging" after spending a summer swapping MP3s and collaborating on techno-inspired tracks while Victorino was in England with his former band. "I actually didn't meet Nozebleed in person until I [returned to the U.S. and] went to a proper studio." The project sat on a backburner until Victorino left Strata last January. "I love this fresh feeling of starting over," he says. WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: Although they didn't play their first show until last April, Limousines aren't misguided kids with iMacs and a P.A. (after all, that first show was opening for Dredg). Their songs are mini-masterpieces, each with a whimsical fluidity that blend Victorino's distinctive vocals with beats DJ Shadow would envy. "I call it 'electrolyricalfolkrock,'" says Victorino. "We haven't set any limits on what we can sound like." YOU LIKE?
