THE STORY SO FAR: To all former classmates of vocalist/guitarist/drummer Brian Maddox and guitarist Mark Rosas: Sorry, if the guys who make up dance-pop powerhouse Scenes And Sirens didn't make your graduation party. They were busy preparing for their summer tour, supporting The South Will Dance Again or just reveling in the fact that the EP hit No. 3 on the SmartPunk Top 100 and was picked up by Hot Topic. "We've done this all before graduating high school," says Maddox. "Now we'll start touring full-time."
WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: If you've always wanted to hear Bryce Avary in Metro Station, Scenes And Sirens have got a few new MySpace profile songs for you. "Our sound comes from the influence of bands like the Rocket Summer, Panic At The Disco and Maroon 5," says Maddox. "It's a weird mix of bands to tie together but you can find aspects of those bands in our songs."
