Dear Whoever

HQ: Portland, OR NOW PLAYING: Assorted demos .

THE STORY SO FAR: Formed three years ago in Portland, Oregon, the five members of Dear Whoever haven't wasted any time. Their debut EP, 2005's Sound The Trumpet, sold more than 7,000 copies on Smartpunk.com, and they've have shared their unique pop-rock (edged with guttural screams) and the stage with the likes of Chiodos, He Is Legend and Alexisonfire. They've also reveled in time as PureVolume's featured band and spent last spring touring with Mayday Parade, Crash Romeo and Driver Side Impact..

WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: If you live in Portland, you've probably caught them on Warped: They played the Ernie Ball Stage in 2005 and the Smartpunk Stage in 2006. "We've got this sound that's one part pop, two parts rock with some hardcore and good times," says vocalist Aiden Louis of DW's live show. "Sometimes we light candles, sometimes we use blinders and strobes, but most of the time, we just burn your face with rock." Rachel Lux.
