The boys from the Letter You came together three years ago out of a civil duty—to rock. “We formed because the pop-rock genre in Las Vegas was dying,” says vocalist Jared Banares. “We wanted to bring back a dying scene to not only be successful locally, but nationally, as well.” The quintet have put the work in, jumpstarting the locals to start their own groups, while scoring some sweet opening slots for the Wonder Years and Set Your Goals. Banares let us in on the band’s agenda: “We want the listeners to hear our songs and be able to pick out a point in their life when they felt exactly the same as we did, and sing along to how we all felt.” [JP]
