When we ask drummer Max Ayton what the boys in Guildford, U.K., band Today We Fly were striving for, he nonchalantly replied, “To just play local shows for friends, to change the world…to get rich? We love playing live, as we are currently having fun as mates. Building up our fan base is great.” The guys have the kind of bombastic melodic sense that will make American radio programmers do the overbite dance as rocker dudes raise their brews in appreciation. “We've taken influence from lots of different bands we're into at the moment,” says Ayton. ”Four Year Strong, Deaf Havana… it's quite a punk-rock sound.” Wait until you hear their cover of Jessie J’s “Do It Like A Dude.” [JP]
