Although Take This City have only been together since early 2012, in that short time, the band have managed to put in a lot of work. “Blood, sweat and tears are literally what this band goes through to make it happen,” says frontman Jeremy Bell of the Houston grimecore group. Bell says Take This City came together because they were tired of being in local bands that talked about making it big, but never did anything to make it happen. “We used the knowledge we got from previous experiences to lead us in a better direction,” he says. “Whatever we did before, we do twice as hard now, whether it’s practicing, writing or promoting. We make sure no time is wasted.” Bell says he knows that with enough hard work, he and his bandmates will be able to financially provide for their friends and family by doing what they love onstage.
