Brought together by their local music scene (and the power of social media), Singled Out blend pop-punk tendencies with heavier metalcore elements. The Minneapolis group play as many shows as possible, because “like many bands, the main reason we play music is to connect with people on an emotional level,” says guitarist Austin Pilarski. “Personally speaking, I play music to help people through rough times. Without emotion in art, there is no purpose to the art.” After spending their summer on tour throughout the Midwest, a new full-length should follow in early 2013.
