Vocalist Joe Taylor of Chicago four-piece Knuckle Puck says before the band came together in April 2011, “we all felt our local music scene was seriously lacking an ideal punk/pop-punk/whatever-you-wanna-call-it band.” The band self-recorded their demo in guitarist Nick Casasanto’s basement and started looking for shows to play. “We looked for any excuse to cram a bunch of dudes and our friends in a van to play in front of people we've never met before,” says Taylor. Knuckle Puck’s plan is to continue cramming in vans, playing shows in new and exciting places, writing and (when they’re at home) hanging out at Nonna’s Pizza.
