Craigslist came in handy last year for drummer Tyler Melton as he grew tired of the local hardcore scene in Norfolk, Virginia, and met keyboardist Michael Mann. At first the sextet were called Palisades, but when that name clashed with a band on Rise Records, the guys made a quick name change to Provoke, Destroy. Melton classifies the band’s sound as “metalcore with slightly heavier parts and strong, technical riffs,” mentioning that the group are headed into the studio for a full-length. “We just want to be heard and respected in our own right as a band. We all love what we do and want to share the joy it brings us.”
