THE STORY SO FAR: Just because you're brooding, it doesn't mean you can't dance. Runner Runner came together last spring when former members of Don't Look Down (vocalist Ryan Richinheart), Rufio (bassist Jon Berry) and Over It (guitarists Peter Munters and Nick Bailey and drummer James Ulrich) decided to switch direction. "We came together to write pop and electro songs," says Bailey. "We're on a mission to create songs that are timeless." When Bailey hung with his friends in All Time Low during West Coast dates of last year's AP Tour, he handed out RR demos wherever he could, building a fanbase before they'd even recorded an album.
WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: It hasn't taken long for Runner Runner to hit their stride. Armed with their EP Your Greatest Hits, they've heard their bouncy pop everywhere from MTV to ESPN, and have already opened for Fall Out Boy and Angels & Airwaves. "The sky is the limit," says Bailey. "We want to make you dance and make you cry. Are we your next favorite band? Probably."
