Jamie Tworkowski is the founder of To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA), a nonprofit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA began in 2006 as Jamie's attempt to help a friend and tell a story. Over the last four years, the TWLOHA team has responded to more than 175,000 messages and e-mails from 100 countries, in addition to giving more than $850,000 to treatment and recovery. Jamie spends much of his time on the road, bringing TWLOHA's message of hope, help and community to universities, concerts and conferences. His blogs on TWLOHA.com are a source of hope and encouragement for many. Last year, Jamie became the only non-musician ever to win a mtvU Woodie Award, beating out Alicia Keys, John Legend and Wyclef Jean to take home the Good Woodie Award.
He loves music, surfing and the Orlando Magic and is working on his first book.
