Aside from keeping the editorial department on track with deadlines and schedules, I work with our contributing editors on the DIY and Style sections, line up film coverage for the website and provide editorial for just about every issue, including the cover stories for AP 237.2 (the Matches), AP 244 (Forever The Sickest Kids), AP 256.1 (the Academy Is…), AP 261.1 (the Cab), AP 266 (Something Corporate) and AP 270 (All Time Low). My most embarrassing work moment happened when I talked to Conor Oberst for our Most Anticipated Albums of 2007 issue. It was one of my first interviews for AP, I had to talk to him on a Saturday night, and the Husker football team had just lost to Texas by two points. Conor was supposed to be in Los Angeles, but it turned out he was actually in Omaha, Nebraska. I got a little too excited at this news, and enthusiastically asked him if he’d spent the day watching the Huskers game. He had not.
