2011 Bassist Of The Year

Bassist Of The Year

All Time Low's Zack Merrick (pictured far right)

"Zack doesn't get nearly enough credit for all of his hard work and talent." - Nicole Randolph, Helena, AL

Merrick's tips on being a successful bassist:

"One trick I've learned is to learn your scales all over your instrument. You can play a scale numerous times up and down the neck and it helps [you feel more comfortable] with fills and really improves your improvisational skills. Also, practice! Keep up on your chops. Thanks for the votes--I appreciate it."

Runners-up:

Mark Hoppus (Blink-182)

"The bass wall of doom had my ears ringing from Tuesday till Sunday." - Sid Bhaskara, Charlotte, NC

Dallon Weekes (Panic! At The Disco)
