My Chemical Romance have revealed that the follow-up to 2006's elaborate
The Black Parade likely will be a return to basics for the New Jersey band. MCR are currently writing for the album in Los Angeles. In a
recent interview, frontman Gerard Way said, "It's not going to be hiding behind a veil of fiction or uniforms and makeup anymore," and that the album will be a return to MCR's "pure" beginnings. "People who were really big fans of our first record, they'll find things they're really going to love about the new material," says Way. "And not because we sound like that first record at all, it's because there's a purity to it. There's less happening."
YES.
thank god. i felt like i was taking crazy pills. for two years i didn't read one bad thing about this album. everyone loved it. i thought it sucked. not just because it didn't sound like their old stuff, but really thought that it was terrible and i couldn't understand how anyone could think it was good. thank you mcr.
I love My Chem and all, but this is starting to get really redundant. They keep repeating over & over again, that they're returning to the sound of Bullets & Revenge, we get it already. Though I'm thrilled about it, I'd love to stop hearing about it every week.
Im glad that MCR decided to go back to the basics and not follow the trend of "live" dvd or CDs. Now don't get me wrong, i have nothing against Live footage, but every band out their today is falling into that aspect in music. MCR is going against the industry and keeping it true. Keep it up guys -xxBiabree.
