The Weakerthans plot September tour of U.S., iTunes-only release

Canadian prairie-punk act the Weakerthans have already set up a July tour of the U.S West Coast in support of 2007's Reunion Tour, but that just isn't enough: They'll now be returning south of the border (well, south of their border) this September, with a two-week tour primarily of the U.S. East Coast and Midwest, with scattered shows in Ontario. No word on who will be opening these shows yet. Dates:

9/17 Brooklyn, NY @ Williamsburg Music Hall
9/18 NYC, NY @ Bowery Ball Room
9/19 Washington, DC @ 9:30 Club

The band will also release an iTunes-exclusive recording session on June 30. No word on if the seccion contains any new material, however.
