Norma Jean sign to Razor & Tie; new album out in 2010

"If we didn't sign to Razor & Tie, I think we would have gone on a killing spree, with no regard for life or limb," says NJ frontman Cory Brandan. "I think for the first time in our career, upon presenting our ideas, we get to hear the word 'yes' more often. It's like discovering an unknown tribe on a distant island. Except we're the tribe and we don't know your language. Plus we have spears and swords and we're cannibals. Either way, we're insanely animated about R&T showing up and want to try on their Nike Air Jordans."
The band are currently preparing for their Explosions 2009 tour, which kicks off Nov. 19 in New Orleans (dates).

What is Cory Brandan talking about? Cannibals and killing sprees? I mean, I understand if he doesn't like dealing with Tooth and Nail/Solid State anymore, because more than a few bands have gone through that label and wanted to get out ASAP, but I'd just like for Brandan to not sound like a drug addict when he explains himself.
ha who gives? sounds funny to me. don't really care how he talks when i'm listening to their music. hope this next album is in my face.
Regardless of his outlandish analogies, the fact is the more Norma Jean the better. I'm glad to hear that they are with a record label now that will let them be as creative as they want. Can't wait for to hear some new stuff from these guys...
Too bad Cory didn't go on that killing spree it would of been really intersting reading about that, maybe they can save that thought and use it in a video someday.
Razor and Tie? Awkward.. No, not really.. But it is kinda odd. R/T is the last label I would think of to pick up NJ, but if they allow NJ to have full say in their musical direction, then what is there to complain about? Can't wait to hear the next album..
