The Weakerthans plot September tour of U.S., iTunes-only release

Canadian prairie-punk act the Weakerthans have already set up a July tour of the U.S West Coast in support of 2007's Reunion Tour, but that just isn't enough: They'll now be returning south of the border (well, south of their border) this September, with a two-week tour primarily of the U.S. East Coast and Midwest, with scattered shows in Ontario. No word on who will be opening these shows yet. Dates:

The band will also release an iTunes-exclusive recording session on June 30. No word on if the seccion contains any new material, however.

Emery streaming new album on MySpace

Tooth & Nail artists Emery are streaming their entire new album, ...In Shallow Seas We Sail, on their MySpace.

Cleveland-based Hip-hop artist Kid Cudi is rumored to be working on a remix of "Don't Trust Me" by Photo Finish Records family members and AP Tour stars 3OH!3. The label has a discussion brewing on the topic.

Taking Back Sunday's documentary, which features fans on the TBS tour bus listening to New Again, has been posted. Watch Ready To Be New Again below.

The promotion's intention was to "energize the fan base," said Rob Gordon, senior vice president of Warner Bros. So tell us, is it working?

The record, due this Tuesday, has received a rating 4.5/5 from AP.
