Honor Bright sign to Triple Crown

Tim Karan on 7/12/09 @ 2:43 PM

Upstate New York pop-punk outfit, Honor Bright, have signed a deal with Triple Crown Records. The band were recently featured as an unsigned band in AP's AP&R section, and fans voted them onto the Ernie Ball stage at the Cleveland date of this summer's Warped Tour through our AP&R/Ernie Ball contest. Guitarist Tim Paige said, "We couldn't be happier to be joining the Triple Crown family. Fred [Feldman, owner] has put out some of our favorite records and we share the same goals for our band." Honor Bright will record their debut full-length later this year with Tom Denney and Jason Lancaster. Check out video of them during their final days as an unsigned band below.

Scott Heisel on 7/11/09 @ 2:22 AM

Florida-based folk-punks Fake Problems have announced via their Twitter that they will be canceling the remainder of their current headlining tour after tonight's show in Chicago due to "a death in a member's family." The band were touring in support of this year's SideOneDummy-released It's Great To Be Alive, which spawned "The Dream Team" single. You can view the video for that below:

Fall of Troy complete new record, drop off European tour

Chris French on 7/10/09 @ 8:30 PM

Equal Vision Record's trio the Fall of Troy have completed their new, still-untitled record, which is scheduled to hit stores this fall. In related news, the band has canceled their stint on an upcoming European tour. You can check out what the progressive rock unit had to say on their MySpace below:

What's Up Everyone,

I hope you have been enjoying your summer. We've put the final touches on what will be our 3rd full length for EVR this week. We're very excited about the record and can't wait to share it all with you, which will be sometime this fall. We do have a little bit of bad news though it looks as though we will no longer be able to take part in the Eastpak tour this fall. It pains us to have to disappoint all our European fans, but we promise we will get back there as soon as possible. We hope you all understand and as always appreciate all the support you have given us over the years. We're very much looking forward to putting out this record! More news on that to come soon.

Love, The Fall of Troy

The Eastpak Antidote Tour, which features Anti-Flag, Alexisonfire and Ghost of a Thousand will continue as scheduled. You can check out all those dates HERE.
