Athens, GA's We Versus The Shark have announced a fall tour, set to kick off tomorrow.
The band will be out in support of their new album on Hello Sir, Dirty Versions. They're also in the midst of releasing a donation-based digital covers album on Quote Unquote, featuring takes on Ben Folds, Tom Waits, Television and more. Titled Murmurmur, the album is being released one track at a time every first of the month here. Continuing to forgo the traditional avenues of MySpace and YouTube, Fall Out Boy have made "Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet" available for purchase on iTunes today.
The band did previously reveal "I Don't Care," the first single from Folie A Deux, as a stream. However, that was on their own website. "Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown on a Bad Bet," however, was not available for streaming anywhere prior to its iTunes launch today. Folie A Deux will be released in its entirety on November 4th via Island / Fueled By Ramen. Where do you think the band will unveil the next song? |

On the heels of the news that Minus The Bear will be releasing an acoustic EP, the opening track has been posted for free download. You can acquire "Guns & Ammo," the only new original song on the EP, by clicking here.
Acoustics, as the EP's titled, was digitally self-released by the band today on their Tigre Blanco label. You can pick up a physical copy when they kick off their tour tomorrow with Annuals. |

Atmosphere's video for "You" has made its way online.
Though the video revolves around a toy skateboard and features a cameo from Henry Rollins, the song is actually not a Bad Religion cover. Nonetheless, you may also spot Brother Ali in the clip as well. "You" can be found on the duo's 2008 Rhymesayers full-length, When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold. |

This Providence have posted a redone version of "My Beautiful Rescue," which originally appeared on 2006's self-titled full-length. You can listen on their MySpace page.
The song will be used as a B-side or bonus track on a future release. You can read about the re-recording on this MySpace blog posting. The band is set to release The Bright Lights EP on October 14th via Fueled By Ramen. They're also in the midst of a tour supporting Relient K, along with Ludo and House Of Heroes. |

Predominately hardcore label Eulogy Recordings have signed a deal with Tannersville, Pennsylvania's Split Fifty. An excerpt from the band's blog reads: "We had gotten an offer from Eulogy over a year ago but because of situations we were unable to accept the offer. The great news is after a six month vacation, some old contracts running out and John at Eulogy being a stand up business man, we made the choice. The new record, which is still untitled, will be a revisit to Split Fifty's older heavier style while trying to keep with the pop/punk feel of our last record. Basically we want to kick your ass and make you feel pretty at the same time." The band's new record for the label is due out sometime next year.
