Alkaline Trio, NOFX, Screeching Weasel to play Riot Fest 09

The lineup and details for this year's
Riot Fest, an annual punk festival in Chicago, have begun to leak out thanks to the
Chicago Reader. According to the Reader's "Early Warnings" column, the festival will expand from three days to five, due to it being the fest's fifth anniversary. Scheduled to appear at a variety of Chicago venues between Oct. 7-11 are Alkaline Trio, Screeching Weasel, NOFX, Dead Milkmen, Murder City Devils and Cock Sparrer; many more bands will be announced in the coming weeks. Five-day passes go on sale this Saturday at noon.

Coalesce stream entire new album

Coalesce, are streaming their new album,
OX, through
Lambgoat. You can check out the group's first release in 10 years
HERE.
OX will be the band's first album since 1999's
0:12 Revolution in Just Listening. The new record is due out June 9 through
Relapse Records.

Hey Mercedes plan Chicago reunion show this September

For the second time since their 2005 breakup,
Hey Mercedes will strap on their instruments and take to the stage for a reunion show. This one will take place Saturday, Sept. 19 at
Double Door in Chicago; the show will cost $15 and is 21+. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, June 6
here; no word on who will open the show as of yet.
The band previously reunited in 2007 for
two shows; currently, frontman Bob Nanna and drummer Damon Atkinson play in
Certain People I Know.
