Blink-182 reschedule four shows

Alternative Press - Tim Karan on 9/1/09 @ 5:24 PM - altpress.com

A representative for LiveNation revealed that Blink-182 have rescheduled their next two shows "in order for Travis Barker to mourn the loss of his dear friend Adam Goldstein." The Cleveland show which was slated for Sept. 2 will now take place Sept. 30, and Thursday's St. Louis show will now be held Sept. 29. In order to accomodate the changes, shows in Charlotte, NC, and Atlanta, GA, have also been moved to Oct. 6 and 7, respectively. All previously purchased tickets will be honored. It's likely that the support acts for the rescheduled shows will now be Fall Out Boy, the All-American Rejects and Asher Roth, since they were originally tabbed for the dates at the tail-end of the tour.

Read the band's statement here. Blink will resume the tour on Sept. 4 in Kansas City, MO.

Its funny I was just about to send this in as a tip. Its also posted on himynameismark.com. Its funny that everyone flipped out. They lost someone really close to them and seriously people, Blink wants to put on the best show they can for us, and after receiving tragic news like that its no wonder they cancelled, they would have been all depressed at the shows. Its probably better this way for us, so we can see them when they are semi back to normal. Have some respect and stop being selfish not only for AM but also for Blink.

I'm just glad that it was rescheduled and that I have a chance of seeing this awesome line-up still. I've been waiting on this for months.

In the grand scheme of things I am excited that I am still at least going to get to see blink. But I hope they are incorrect about Fall Out Boy and the All American Rejects taking over for Taking Back Sunday and Weezer at St. Louis.

Justsurrender11: probably not, unfortunately it probably is easier for the bands who are playing the end of the tour just to play those dates as opposed to having the bands that haven't been on the tour for about 20 days. Weezer and TBS probably already have other things planned for those days.

Checked Live Nation's website. It has updated the tour dates and says Blink will in fact be with Weezer on the 30th for Cleveland. Not sure about St. Louis, you will have to check but I don't see why it would be any different. I hope it's right because Fall Out Boy is NO replacement for Weezer.
