Alkaline Trio enter studio; recording with Foo Fighters/NUFAN guitarist

Alkaline Trio are back in the studio--Studio 606 to be exact, which is the birthplace of multiple Foo Fighters albums. Coincidently, Alkaline Trio currently have the band "guest ripping" on a new track, according to vocalist/guitarist Matt Skiba's Instagram:

"Face melters with Chris Shiflett from NUFAN and some band called Foo Fighters @ 606 guest ripping on a new @Alkaline_Trio track"

Chris Shiflett, former guitarist of No Use For A Name and member of Foo Fighters since 1999, looks like he'll be laying down some guitar tracking:

Only a couple months after Alkaline Trio's release of My Shame Is True in April, could another album be in the works?
