Halifax announce LP release date; need extras for video shoot Drive-Thru Records pop-punk band Halifax have finally firmed up a release date for the long-delayed full-length debut, The Inevitability Of A Strange World. The album will see the light of day May 23 in North America; international release dates are still pending. A number of the album's tracks have been made available for streaming online; you can hear "Nightmare" and "Anthem For Tonight" at the band's MySpace page, and "Under Fire" is currently streaming on the front page of the band's website.

The band will also be shooting a music video for one of World's tracks on April 8-9 in the Los Angeles area. The band are looking for female extras between the ages of 18 and 28 for the video; interested applicants should send pictures and any previous acting experience to trhenson@glosspictures.com.

The band have a few scattered shows coming up in April and May with Hawthorne Heights and From First To Last, as well as an appearance scheduled for this year's Bamboozle festival. The band will be touring this May and June with Bayside; however, no dates for that have been announced yet. Their current itinerary is as follows:
