Cassadee Pope, former Hey Monday vocalist and The Voice season three winner, has announced that she will be opening for country groups Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry on their upcoming tour. Pope, who while on the Voice was on country artist Blake Shelton's team, further solidifies her venture into the country music world with this tour.
Last month, she signed with Republic Nashville, and told Billboard of her new direction as an artist, "If you were to take Taylor Swift, make it edgier with a just a little hint of country and make the lyrics a little more mature, that would be the direction I'd like to take."
Incredibly excited to announce I will be supporting the Rascal Flatts tour this summer. I'll be playing right before The Band Perry. Yay!— Cassadee Pope (@CassadeePope) February 26, 2013
