Just a few weeks ago, Childish Gambino, the rap alias of actor/comedian/writer Donald Glover, announced that his sophomore full-length, Because The Internet, would arrive sometime during "winter break," via a teaser video. Gambino has now revealed a release date for the album, along with a new single, "3005."
"3005" arrives on the heels of "Yaphet Kotto (freestyle)," a track which arrived earlier this month alongside Because The Internet's announcement.

Last week, Glover sparked some concern throughout the media, with a series of Instagram posts featuring handwritten notes, opening up about fear, insecurity, and regret with blunt honesty. Within the posts, the rapper indicated that the label doesn't want him to release in December, since Internet is "not a holiday record" and Gambino is "not a big artist."
Take a look at the message below:
Childish and the label must have come to some agreement, however, as Because The Internet is now officially scheduled for a Dec. 10 release via Glassnote Records.
In addition to new music, Glover will appear in just five episodes of his NBC sitcom, Community, which is slated to return in January, before exiting the show. His upcoming musical comedy, Atlanta, which Donald will star in and develop, is currently in the works at FX.
Live dates in support of Because The Internet are expected to be announced soon.
