Completely wireless earbuds are finally here

February 20 2016, 3:50 PM EST By Kika Chatterjee

In the past few years, products professing to be wireless earbuds have cropped up on the market, when in reality the buds are usually connected by a wire or only come in sets of one.

That is, until Earin, who have developed 100 percent wireless Bluetooth headphones after a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2014.

The folks over at Wired's UK division tested out the product, giving it a 7 out of 10 rating.

The buds connect through your phone's Bluetooth settings just like any other Bluetooth-powered speaker or headset. They charge in their metal case, which holds a battery. Listeners can get three hours of play time out of the Earin buds—11 if one opts to use just one bud.

There's no microphone capabilities on Earins headphones, which means users won't be able to look like they're talking to themselves in public, unfortunately.

Earin buds come with a hefty price tag: A two-bud set will run you just under 238 U.S. dollars. If you're willing to drop the cash, you can pick up a set of your own right here.
