Foo Fighters to play fans’ garages in eight cities

Foo Fighters have announced that they'll be playing songs from Wasting Light—their new album recorded in frontman Dave Grohl's garage—in the garages of eight fans across North America. Fans who want a shot at hosting a show can enter to win by explaining in 25 words or less why they and 50 of their friends deserve to see Foo Fighters and by sending a photo of the garage. For more instructions, go here. Listeners of local radio stations will also have a chance to attend the garage show in their town.

Wasting Light drops April 12 on Roswell/RCA and was recorded entirely on analog tape at Grohl's home in the San Fernando Valley, California. Produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Alan Moulder, the album features a guest spot by Grohl's Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic.
