After Thursday night's performance of the Broadway musical, American Idiot, based on the album of the same name by Green Day, the band by walking onstage to play two songs. As the cast were taking their bows, the trio jumped onstage and tore into "American Idiot" and then "Basket Case." As they finished their surprise set, the band took their bows alongside the cast.
