Rising superstars PVRIS recently spoke with Upset Magazine about their highly anticipated sophomore album. While they were hesitant at sharing details, there was some notable information revealed.

“We’re really excited for the future and to see what happens,” said frontwoman Lynn Gunn. “We definitely want to go above, beyond and a little bit better. We want to make it evolve and grow. We have a lot of ideas right now for the next record, but we can’t give away too much,”

“With the next record there’s going to be much more of a…” she later added, before stopping mid-sentence. “I don’t want to give too much away, get people’s hopes up and then put some absolute bullshit out.”

As far as the band’s overall essence goes, fans need not worry about them doing something entirely different from White Noise’s eerie vibe. “I think we’ll elaborate on that darkness a lot more but there will be new elements brought in for sure. It’s hard to tell right now but we’re thinking about it.”

The most notable information that was revealed, however, was the tentative recording timeline for their next LP. “And then I think we’re supposed to record in September or October,” said Gunn.

PVRIS released the deluxe edition of White Noise earlier this year on Rise Records. The effort features two new songs: “You And I” and “Empty.”
