Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie sues roommate for allegedly stealing $127,000

TMZ is reporting that they’ve obtained a lawsuit filed by Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendon Urie against his former roommate Shane Valdes, a videographer who has worked with Panic! in the past.

According to TMZ, Urie lived with Valdes from 2008 to 2010 and gave his roommate access to his personal bank account to “pay shared living expenses.” Urie didn’t realize until November, 2013—long after their tenure as roommates—that Valdes had made 70 withdrawals from his account, amounting to $127,269.54.

TMZ goes on to detail the roommate’s defense:

"Urie says Valdez [sic] copped to taking the money, but that an attorney for Valdez [sic] says the money was used for a documentary about Urie's life. Urie says the pair never discussed any such project.

Shane tells TMZ the lawsuit is ridiculous, even though he hasn't seen it yet. 'We were best friends for a long time and there is nothing about his claims that are true.'"

No word yet from the Panic! camp on the matter.
