Pearl Jam inviting all their drummers to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction

Pearl Jam will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by Neil Young April 7 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and they're inviting all of their drummers to attend the ceremony.

Like many bands, Pearl Jam have seen their fair share of members, which is totally cool, but the Hall of Fame doesn't induct every member. With that, Pearl Jam sent out a hand-written note on social media stating that they invite all members to join them.

The note reads: "While awards and accolades are understandably subjective and a countless number of our peers have yet to be honored, we do feel fortunate to be recognized and provided the opportunity to reunite with everyone who has been part of the group. Specifically the drummers who all left their distinctive mark on our band in the pre-Matt Cameron years. Dave Krusen, Matt Chamberlain, Dave Abbruzzese and Jack Irons are each individually great players who gave their all to the early recordings and live gigs. Looking forward to seeing them and all the other musicians on the bill. Have to say, wish H.R. and Perry Farrell were gonna be there too. If nothing else, it makes us feel luck and appreciative to the end. The beat goes on — P.J."

The other inductees this year include Journey, Tupac Shakur. Joan Baez, ELO, and Yes.

About the inductee process, the Hall of Fame states, "artists are eligible for inclusion in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first recording. The 2017 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Performer Inductees were chosen by more than 900 voters, as well as the aggregate results of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s online fan vote."
