Steel Train have announced their first show in over 15 months. The band has noted they are uncertain of what the future holds for them. The show will take place January 5th at Bowery Balroom in New York.

Read an official announcement below.

"It’s been almost 15 months since steel train has played a show. nothing has been said in that time period, and after much thought, we’ve realized that everyone who has loved our band as much as we have since 2002, deserves a lot more than silence.

so here’s the deal:

we don’t know what the future holds for steel train. we do know that there are no immediate plans to get things up and running again, so with that said, we want to give everyone a chance to come celebrate steel train once more (for the time being…).

to everyone who has come to our shows, listened to our albums, let us sleep on their floors, or played any part in making the past decade of steel train the most incredible life changing experience any of us could have hoped for, we invite you to join us on january 5th at the bowery ballroom in NYC.

let’s celebrate a decade of steel train the right way.

can’t wait to see all of our amazing friends and fans from all over the country in NY this january.

tickets on sale this friday!"
