While Brand New fans crowded into The Observatory in Santa Ana, Calif. Monday night for the first of two back to back discography shows, a tiny crowd in nearby Moorpark, Calif. were treated to a special intimate performance of a different kind. After a 14-month concert hiatus, Foo Fighters made their surprise return to the stage with a two and a half hour show at a tiny restaurant called Rock & Roll Pizza.
While the band are set to return to a more conventional venue setting tonight and Friday, with performances in Mexico City, the pizza place performance severed as something of a warm-up and as a special surprise for a small group of 200 fans.
