D.C. post-hardcore legends Jawbox will reunite for an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. The band will make their first appearance together in 12 years when they play the NBC show on Dec. 8. Jawbox will be in support of the deluxe reissue of their 1994 major label debut, For Your Own Special Sweetheart, which comes out Nov. 24.

For those of you who might be too young to remember Jawbox, do yourselves a favor and check them out on Jimmy Fallon's show. You won't be disapointed...in them at least. I haven't seen Jimmy Fallon's show yet to have an opinion on it but the 4-5 minutes of Jawbox alone makes the show worth watching.

I would strongly urge all AP readers to immediately buy Jawbox's 1996 self-titled album. The guitar work, the drumming, the songwriting still sound fresh and innovative today. Bands such as Motion City Soundtrack & Alkaline Trio have cited this band as a major influence, and for good reason.
