Ideal for fellow holiday “grinches” everywhere, this cover is the perfect seasonal concoction. Frontman Phil Freeman captures the film’s essence with greasy, yet defined vocals reminiscent of the Grinch himself. The rest of the band’s heavy influence makes their rendition of “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” a fitting choice for your not-so-traditional family festivities.

You can listen to the cover below.

Yesterday, the band announced that they are giving away free signed CDs for the holidays. If you were wondering, their incredible cover of “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” is on the CD.

Additionally, fans are taking to the band’s social media to praise them on the holiday carol of the century.

“It’s the best version of a Christmas song I’ve ever heard,” one Facebook user says. “You need to release an entire Christmas album.”

We couldn’t agree more.

In the meantime, you can check out the rest of the band’s discography here.
