Asocial HC gods pummel their inner Roger Waters.

Ceremony - Still Nothing Moves You

Ceremony's face-ripping, antisocial hardcore traditionally hasn't left much room for experimentation, so when the band promised a Pink Floyd influence on album No. 2, it seemed like a lark. Indeed, Still Nothing Moves You finds Ceremony's core violence unwavering (the atheist rampage "He-God-Has Favored Our Undertakings" sounds like Tragedy feeding Youth Of Today into a wood chipper), but listen to the album through headphones, and the Dark Side of its tunes emerges. From weird samples ("A Blight On Mental Health") to field-recording-style segues ("Vagrant"), the newfound nuances don't soften Ceremony's usual impact-rather, by upping the drama and tension, they make it cut that much closer to the bone.
