[3/5] Listening to Gito Gito Hustler is like imagining Lemmy in a pink one-piece bunny suit while he belts out "Ace Of Spades" in the middle of your mother's rose garden. Love & Roll-the first full-length album for the four gals out of Tokyo-combines sickly-sweet bubblegum pop melodies (the title track) and fuzzy, grinding guitars ("Mt. Fuji") for maximum pop-rockitude. Most of the disc's 12 songs are sung entirely in Japanese, save for the chorus or a "shooby-dooby" thrown in for good measure. Highlights include the rockin' "Silent Man" and a highly charged cover of Little Eva's "Locomotion." Love & Roll might not be an easy record to sing along to unless you're rockin' those Berlitz language cassettes, but hot damn! Who wants to dance? (GEARHEAD) Erin Rahel
