Lovelorn Pacific Northwestern pop-punkers seek return phone call.

Amber Pacific - The Possibility And The Promise
Alternative Press - Ted Barnes on 11/22/05 @ 3:51 PM - altpress.com

[3] Seattle's Amber Pacific craft music that reflects their hometown's mood: maudlin, mercurial and cloudy, with occasional bursts of sunlight. The Possibility And The Promise is a fine enough debut album, full of girls-gone-mild lyrical swooning (sample lyric: "There's a hope/there's a light/and I see it in your eyes") and pleasant enough power-punk melodies. Our advice to the band: Don't let the guitar player solo until he can play more than three notes, and ease off the piano ballads, like "If I Fall," which falls far short of the mark already set by Something Corporate. Stick to that, and you just might make it. (HOPELESS) Rob Harvilla
