Har Mar gets his all-night Costello on all night.
Sean Na Na - Family Trees Or CoPe We Must
[2/5]
Before there was Har Mar Superstar, there was Sean Na Na. And Sean Tillmann, the Ron Jeremy doppelgänger behind both, is nothing if not completely responsible for his split personalities. But if you dig Har Mar's thong-thumping falsetto booty jams, Sean Na Na's breezy indie rock steez falls kinda flat. Even with a top-notch band featuring Shins guitarist Dave Hernandez, Distillers guitarist Tony Bevilacqua and Dillinger Four bassist Patrick Costello, the songs-though occasionally catchy-are standard-brand power-pop that somehow manage to lack both power and pop. Also: If you're going to use your bio to compare yourself to "Elvis Costello and Thin Lizzy partying and writing together all night only to hand off the songs to the Replacements in the morning after an all-night bender," you should probably actually listen to a Thin Lizzy record and then realize that you just used the phrase "all night" twice in the same sentence.
