Fact may be from Japan, but you wouldn't know it by listening to the band's North American debut. The band sound like they come from an imaginary country where it's acceptable to mix everything from pop-punk to screamo into a mélange of music containing no unifying themes. Oh, and did we mention they do it while wearing masks? While there are a few memorable moments on Fact-the verses of "A Fact Of Life" sound like Fall Out Boy through a vocoder-for the most part, Fact is a soulless collection of songs that contains fewer original thoughts than Elisabeth Hasselbeck has on The View. If there's one positive thing to say about Fact, it's that they're more technically proficient than many of their peers. Unfortunately, all that talent just translates into a giant headache for the listener.
