Review by Trevor Kelley

"Make a sound," insists Circa Survive singer Anthony Green on the second song of the band's debut, Juturna. "Fake it just enough." Now, this is usually the part where we run our reviews through the emo-ban insult machine AP has back in Cleveland, and you eventually end up reading something along the lines of, "Faking it like the Mars Volta-only whiter!" But even while always bringing to mind a safer and slightly less pretentious version of one of the oddest bands ever to have recorded for a major label, Juturna proves songwriter Colin Frangicetto is a guitar god just as worthy of your devotion-and his band are just as capable of leading prog-punk's future.
