Koo Koo Kanga Roo - Whoopty Whoop

Released: May 13, 2014 Asian Man/Fun Fun

This Minneapolis synth-pop duo most recently seen on tour with Frank Turner and the Aquabats are all about one thing: fun. Age is not a factor with Koo Koo Kanga Roo, either; with song titles like “All I Eat Is Pizza” and “I Like Cake,” their tunes appeal to anyone from Yo Gabba Gabba!-loving kids to their punk rock-loving parents. “Fanny Pack” is made up of danceable synth beats with an infectious chorus while identifying the fashion and function of the stylish waist-worn satchel. There is more than just silliness when KKKR drop some knowledge in “Left 2 Right,” teaching the difference between the directions in relation to which way a booty shakes. Take Whoopty Whoop for what it is: 10 songs and 28 minutes of high energy, danceable sing-alongs of positivity and fun for all ages.
