U2, you have completely lost the plot. Listen to "Get On Your Boots," the first single off the band's upcoming album No Line On The Horizon -- it sounds like an unfortunate mashup of Muse and Alice In Chains (side note: Tim's ears just perked up), with some of the most godawful lyrics I've heard on a major-label rock release since whenever Nickelback's last record came out. I've never been the biggest U2 fan, but I can appreciate their high points, and I even have a soft spot for some of their dumber songs (see: "Vertigo," "Elevation"), but this thing just stinks. Of course, I'm only one opinion; what do you think?
No Line On The Horizon comes out March 3 via Interscope.

That was definatly not U2's best song. It fact it's one of their worst. I must say I really do like most of what U2 has put out there, so they are still a great band in my book.
I heard it this morning, and my reaction was WTF?
Did not like.
My first reaction, other than the minor vomit in the mouth, was that it reminded me of something I'd heard before. Then I realized: it has the same song cadence and lyrical rhythm as "Wild Wild West", that hideous Escape Club song from the 80s (note, Tim's ears just perked up again....)
