The legend (or Wikipedia entry) goes that this Tallahassee, Florida, quintet got on the rock radar via Warped Tour; not by actually playing the roadshow, but by hawking their self-released EP every morning to the folks standing in line on the festival grounds. Approximately 20,000 copies later, one of those discs landed at Fearless Records, which snapped up Mayday Parade and put them on the road for an arduous touring regimen, including stints with All Time Low, Plain White T’s and Emery, where they honed their aggressive post-emo sound. (Oh, and they finally did play Warped in 2007 and 2008.) Their major-label debut for Atlantic Records is due Oct.6, but between you, us and the mosh pit churning at the foot of the stage at the Fall Ball, we already know the score, right?
