And one more thing . . .
I suppose what I neglected to mention about the 17 hour drive yesterday is that at the end of it was a casino. Now, as I will tell anyone, I know too much about myself to allow myself to gamble. This has never been an issue because as a result of knowing this I have actively decided not to go to casinos. However, in this particular situation I was living in one for a night and had very little choice. And they handed us a voucher for $5 cash when we walked in the door.
Dammit.
The plan was to walk into the casino, get my $5 cash and walk out. The plan was super foiled right after I lost my non-gambling mates to a group of active gamblers. Think West Side Story, but emo style. Actually, don't. I don't think that really makes sense at all. I decided to put $20 into the adventure, which was really only like $15, because of my free and clear $5 bill. The revised plan was to be able to lose that and $5 of my own and call it a night. After losing that and an additional $3 outside of the range of acceptability I hit it big and won a gigantic $16, only to loose another $8, only to eventually win again. Long story short I came out a whopping $22 ahead and cashed the eph out. I believe they call that a "killing" in Vegas. High roller, baby.
Despite having the worst, most cramped set-up we've had all tour at your lovely St. Louis Verizon Wireless Pavilion (it's all love STL!), I must say, I'm glad to be back in a midwest town. I feel my distaste for heat has been well documented here, so the relatively cool vibe we had today was great and the midwestern charm of all you tour-goers out here was such a great thing to come back to.
I do, however, have some news for you guys. I have to leave the tour. All those "office job" things are catching up really badly and it's time for me to return to the AP skyscraper. I'll still be out here until the Dallas date so if you're coming stop and say hi. I am, however, very pleased to pass off the blogging to the precious Ms. Nichole Fazekas. Please give her a warm hello as she starts her ramblings.
Till the next tour, AP blog readers, I bid you good eats.
xoxoChrisAtAP
