Between The Trees

As a band, what do you guys like to do on your days off from touring?
It varies from each guy, but mainly we like to spend time with the family, friends, and girlfriends. But if we have time to squeeze in some fishing, football, or even some frisbee, we're down!

Do you have a new album coming out soon?
Well, The Story And The Song was just re-released with some new mixes of a few of the songs on May 13. So we're going to see where this takes us, and then we'll go from there.

How do you feel about being part of Warped Tour for yet another year?
It's a huge honor to be able to do the Warped Tour. Our first year we got three dates, the second year we got 10 dates, and now this year we're doing the whole tour. So it's definitely been an honor to kind of move up each year.

How did you come up with the song "The Way She Feels"?
It was actually the first song we ever wrote as Between The Trees. Ryan had a friend that was going through some rough times, and trying to help her through them left an impact on him. That's what led to the idea and eventual song.

Why don't you guys ever play your hometown show on Warped? Orlando would love for you to play at home!
We'll be there this year! So come!

Is "The story of a Boy" based on someone?
"Story Of A Boy" is definitely about someone. That someone is actually Ryan :)

Where does the inspiration come from in writing your songs?
Inspiration comes a lot from our everyday life experiences. What happens in our individual lives, friends' lives, just anything that we know something about by either being in that situation or close to it.

How does it feel being on this year's Warped Tour '08 line up?
It feels amazing to be a part of the '08 lineup. There are a lot of incredible bands this year, so to be a part of that is something special.

Your music seems to be an influence and motivation to many fans because of the strong, heartfelt and positive lyrics Between The Trees offers. What kind of messages do you send out in your lyrics to everybody who listens to your band?
The kind of message we send out is just a general positive message that there's hope and love still left in the world. Not everything has to be negative. It's just good music with a good message.

Is there any way you would come perform at one of my birthday parties if it wasn't too far out of your way?
Send us where and when and it's a good possibility!

Why are you not coming to Canada? You guys are so amazing! You never seem to have Canadian tour dates.
Canadian Border Patrol scares us. What if we get thrown into a Canadian dungeon while trying to cross? Ha, but really, we're going to try and come more often this year. We'll of course be over there for the Warped dates though, so you can come to those!
