AP Poll 259: Do bands need to explain "personal reasons"?

With Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Tumblr and about 42 zillion other social networking sites online, along with the fact that more and more news digging blogs sprout up every day, it's amazing that anyone can keep anything to themselves these days. But musicians seem to get away with it every now and then. A few weeks ago, Escape The Fate canceled a few stops on their tour due to "personal reasons"--a common reason cited by bands as explanations for everything from show postponements to member changes. The question we have this month is: Do bands need to explain "personal reasons"? They're public figures, after all. Should they have to explain everything to their fans? Or are they entitled to a semblance of privacy? Let us know what you think and you could see yourself in an upcoming issue of AP!
