So, I am definitely late to the Brokencyde bashing party, I know. But it’s just that all I ever heard from reliable sources is that it was just total garbage. I never had any desire to even give them a chance. Nu-emo-crunk bullcrap? I have no time for that, not even to laugh at it.
But I’m just roaming around myspace today, and I click on a friend’s friend’s myspace just to see what he’s all about. And this dude literally had two of their songs on there with the lyrics for each song scrolling by at the bottom. And I don’t even remember what caught my eye about the song, but I looked to Whibs and read one of the lines outloud in my most monotone voice. We had a nice little giggle from the one line I read, so I preceeded to read the entire song’s lyrics out loud, with no music. It was fucking great. Then I scrolled to the other song and read it outloud too… I know this story isn’t coming off as funny as it actually was, but man.. if you’d been there. Fan-fucking-tastic.
..... then, after reading all of that, I just had to hear what it sounded like.
and my ears haven’t stopped bleeding yet.
