^Punk in general or new bands? Because that is where my age is starting to show. I need to get stoked on some new music but my list of bands to check out has gotten a little crazy, and I’m floundering a bit. Being down in general probably hasn’t helped. I’m feeling a little better though and should end my lameness soon…

Mostly new bands. A lot of the stuff that’s popular on Punknews, Orgsummit and Vinyl Collective just sounds like bad Hot Water Music to my ears. The Gainsville/Orgcore sound isn’t doing much for me, and the whole back-to-basics pop punk thing is getting annoying too. I don’t think I’m helping my cause by being about a decade behind on most trends. The Lawrence Arms are still new to me.
Who knows, I might find interest in a few months. I might go through a trance phase for all I know before then.
I’m ordering a shit ton of new shirts before school because I’m sick of wearing a band shirt and saying, ‘Damn… I don’t even listen to these guys anymore…’. I just ordered a Have Heart shirt and made sure there were no edge symbols or anything on it, but I’m totally expecting to be wearing it at a party and holding a beer and get punched right in the mouth.
Finally remembered to bring iTunes in to the work lappy.
Oh how I have missed my “2010 not in last 2 weeks” playlist.
Kinda interested to hear what the guidelines for that playlist is.
WAIT, WE’RE GONNA KILL BROKENCYDE?!?! Finally. Best day evar.
I’m currently using a 2GB iPod because my 80GB is broken. I have 10K songs, and only around 300 fit on the iPod.
I hate picking and choosing. Do not want.
But I want the music more, so I pick and choose.

Music released in 2010, not played in the last 2 weeks, though I just changed it to 2 months to increase my chances of listening to everything before it cycles back in.
If my dog’s farts were equated with a certain band’s sound by noise, texture, and smell, they would be the equivalent of an All Time Low concert with technical difficulties.
i think muse’s fan base is pretty giant to begin with
and paramore and death cab have both done twilight songs and its not the first thing i think of for either of them
