at least he’s getting things done.

Uhhhhhhhhh….....................my question was what HAS he done….....

Two years is half a term.

That’s what I just said. No one can fix a ruined economy in two years.
He withdrew from Iraq, which is a start.
He is implying a universal health care plan, which he promised.
What has Bush done in 8 years?

^ I’m asking the same thing.

Also: Obama never promised to end the war. He promised to end the War in Iraq, which has been done. He said that he was going to pull troops out of Iraq and focus on Afghanistan, which is where our war with Al-Queda is. The terrorists. The came from a country that is not Iraq. So, to my knowledge, he has kept his war promises.

Also, as stated, he implied the UHC Plan, which he promised.
He took a bill passed by the Bush Administration which would raise taxes for ALL Americans and threw it out the window, instead focusing on raising the taxes of households that bring in $250,000+.
He’s working on closing Guantanamo Bay, and trying to force the auto industry to find more fuel efficient and eco-friendly emissions, both hopefully done by next year.

There’s more, those are off of the top of my head and I don’t feel like writing a novel. And yes, there is good and there is bad. But as someone else already said (Ant or Leni?), you cannot fix a failed economy in two years.
I can’t speak for everybody, but I didn’t not vote for Obama simply because of the things he promised. I also voted for him because his policies were what I most agreed with, his policies were things that I, too, wanted and were things I could support. I voted for him because the plans he expressed to FIX the economy sounded like genuinely good ideas.
I’m tired of people getting pissed off at Obama because HE hasn’t fixed the economy, but he seems to be trying a hell of a lot harder in two years than Bush ever did in eight. It’s not his fault that he walked into this mess, so he shouldn’t be the only person that’s being roasted over a fire for it.

Any person who puts 100% of their faith in a President clearly does not understand the way our government works.
I’ve said it before and I will say it again - your voice matters. It counts. Maybe you don’t think so, but it does. You ELECT people to REPRESENT you. But here’s a little secret - if you petition you congressmen and women, if you write them letters, if you go to protests or rallies, you are telling YOUR REPRESENTATIVES what you want them to do.

Do not blame one person for the failing economy. Was Bush an idiot? In my opinion, without a doubt. However, he was not the only person who got to make those decisions. Just as Obama isn’t the only person making the decisions on Capital Hill right now. Congress votes to pass bills, and the President can accept or veto those bills into law. So if you want something done, get off of your ass and do something about it.
You’d be surprised what a letter to your local, state and federal representatives can do.
You may also be surprised to know that if you don’t like the people representing you, the only way you can be sure that you tried your hardest is to get out and vote. Seriously.

Obama makes me smile.  I’m glad the whole world loves America now because he’s our leader…because that’s what we want, right?

I’m glad our leader has fixed our national debt and not exacerbated this situation 3 fold.  Don’t we know that spending and higher taxes is the way out of this mess?

I’m glad he is leading the country so well, and not deferring the difficult decisions to the leadership of the House and Senate.

I’m glad that race is never going to be an issue ever again, because, “he, we have/had a black president.”  White Guilt admonished!

I’m glad Obama got us out of the Middle East, just like he promised.  After all, Harry Reid said our troops are raping and murdering!

I’m glad he will be done after this term.  I’m glad he has caused such turmoil that groups like the Tea Party have grown so strong.  I’m glad he has infuriated so many Independents that they will heavily re-consider their votes this next time around.  I’m glad he produced his birth certificate…2 and a half years after the issue arose.  I’m glad that the last 3-4 years has cleansed the Republican party of all the dead wood that has betrayed the principals of the party…limited government, reduced taxes, strong national defense, individual/land-owners’ rights and, most of all, upholding the American Constitution.

People in the back?

I don’t see much of any difference between Obama and Bush.  The only thing better about Barack is that he doesn’t make a fool of himself in public as much as Bush did.  If McCain was president right now, we’d be in exactly the same spot we’re in right now; pointless/endless wars, shit economy, massive debt ect.

Obama = More of the same.

Obama is not very pro-Isrial (put kindly), he joked, saying “...I guess we don’t have as many shovel ready jobs as we thought”.

He’s simply a puppet of the rich dems (George Soros) who put him there.

We need tax cuts, specifically on industry & small business.  We need a tax structure that deosnt rely on the backs of the rich, but eachperson earning income.  And while China is building power plants at break-neck rates, were putting environmental restrictions on ourselves, relying on foreign oil, yet were all so confused why the price of gas is so high.

We need to take care of our economy if we want to be humanitarians.  When the American economy suffers, the global economy suffers.

Ron Paul 2012 - what do we have to lose?  Not all Texans are crazy…are they?

You criticize Obama for not being “Pro-Israel,” but you support Ron Paul?  That doesn’t make a whole lot of sense…

Implying that we just need tax cuts is an overly simplistic way of looking at things.  Neither side, Democrat or Republican, has the solution to our economic problems.  Just like simple tax cuts aren’t going to provide a quick fix, neither are government job plans and stimulus projects.

I didn’t imply that we need tax cuts.  I said that we need tax cuts.  My Ron Paul support was a half-joke.  He will never get the nomination.  If I could have my pick, I’d take Newt.  I know that won’t be too popular here, but “meh…”

I’ll save my 3 page dissertation for what must be done to begin the healing process…I’m sure I won’t find many like minds in this forum, but I’m certain that Obama will be a one-term President.  Whether you feel that he is doing a good job or not, things don’t look good for his re-election.

Btw, what’s up with your picture?  It looks like Brenden Frasier (possibly Tim Robbins) portraying a young Albert Einstein.

Newt Gingrich can’t even manage his own campaign.

Newt was one of the idiots who was trying to impeach Clinton for getting his dick sucked in the oval office, and it later came out that Newt himself was having affair.

If Newt was president right now, we’d be in the exact same spot we’re in right now.  No fucking difference.
